Fabulous night's stay at the ambassador spa hotel, scarborough - review of ambassador hotel
Check Out was even worse than check in. Luxury it is not. Not a good look for any hotel. Probably not.

We were finally given the key to our room on the second floor.

Our room had no view. This Hotel has definitely seen better days. Even though we had ambassaor in full through Hotels. The bathroom was the worst, the shower was really bad. Trip type: Travelled as a couple Value. The lighting was nice and the temperature of the room was nice and kept us warm after our walk to the arcade.

Review of Ambassador Hotel Reviewed 25 May The hotel looks impressive from the outside and it is situated in a great position on the cliff tops overlooking the sea. The windows are facing the next room and are not clear glass otherwise you might have found yourself having an eyeful of your neighbours in the opposite room. Its a shame really because with a bit of nifty interior decorating and a few panels over the uneven walls and wood chip wallpaper and the room could have been transformed.
The TV was very old and not really watchable. No one there so rang the bell, the receptionist was very helpful and friendly.
OK for one night maybe or possibly a completely different experience if you get a sea view room but then there are only so many of those. Review of Ambassador Hotel Reviewed October 18, via mobile When entering the hotel the dining area was really nice but we had no idea where to check in. However, you need to be clear on what room you are booking as not all rooms have a sea view.

Check In was a laborious process and we waited in a queue for about 5 minutes before anyone turned up. The room itself was quite spacious and the hotel had gone to the trouble of providing some good quality furniture which was sadly let down by an old fashioned tube TV rather than a flat screen and a bathroom with painted over tiles and a 70's look complete with badly working Mira Shower also from the 's I would imagine. Asked one of the bar staff who directed us to a small reception area.
We probably would stay again but only if the usual hotel we stay at was booked. The plastic cups in the bathroom were tacky! Ambbassador windows looked out into the central service channel of the hotel which was infested with pigeons and pigeon droppings. It was very old and really hard to regulate the temperature, I spent half the time either being freezing or scalded!

The beds were comfortable but the sound proofing is not good. After parking with the permit from the hotel we made our way to ambassadof Would I stay here again? The hotel is going through an extensive bathroom refurbishment programme in so we look forward to showing you these on your next stay with us. The free Wi-Fi was very good and worked well.
It seemed OK for a three star but we felt there could be little touches that could be improved on as mentioned. Once revieq thank you for your lovely feedback and we look forward to welcoming you back to the hotel in the future.

We checked out ambassadlr a lovely member of staff but unfortunately the member of staff to greet us was a little frosty and made me feel a little uncomfortable whilst my boyfriend went to sort out the parking. The room which we had premium deluxe room was nice with a room length window and the bed was extremely comfortable and made us sleep in such comfort. The bathroom was nicely lit and the shower was working and reasonably powerful, it would be much nicer if the bath was updated but that's just being picky.
Report response as inappropriateThank you. That being said the breakfast was really nice and the dining area lovely. On opening it was unexpectedly very small but clean.
